The partnership between Kenya Red Cross Society and Nestlé started in 2003 with financial support through the International Federation of Red Cross and Crescent Societies (IFRC), aimed at addressing the HIV and AIDS pandemic.

The funds donated by Nestlé were used for the creation and distribution of training materials and training for the prevention of the disease.

Nestlé SA has committed over USD 1.4 million to KRCS to fight HIV/AIDS during a 4 year period.
