Agricultural Assistance

a woman who is explaining the programme to farm families

The programme is designed to help farm families acquire the knowledge, attitudes, beliefs and skills which are nedded for healthy eating and lifestyle. The programme also addresses their socio-economic well-being along with informational and skill-building learning experiences.

The objective is to promote lifelong eating habits for farm families, to provide nutrition education for them and to assist families with information and resources on healthy nutrition.

We would like to increase the awarness on good health and nutritional practices among farm families and the income-generation through enrepreneurial skills acquisition programme.

The original programme was a one-time project but a recent proposal for a new project being considered(agreed in principle) will start in 2009.
