Nestle Zimbabwe Finance & Control Director, Mr. F. Munetsi, offers a new water pump to the Kudyarawanza Primary School

Every year, Nestle Zimbabwe is overwhelmed with requests for various forms of sponsorships from members of the local community including churches, schools, colleges, associations and welfare organizations. The merits of each request are validated and where necessary recommendations are put forward to the Nestle Management for consideration.

Kudyarawanza Primary School in Seke near Harare (Safe Drinking water- protection and fitting of a hand pump on a shallow school well).
The program called Pure Life was commissioned in 2004 after the school approached Nestle for assistance with the upgrading of the school buildings and furniture. After the repair work was completed and the donation of school furniture was done, we saw the need to improve the quality of drinking water at the school and hence the donation. The total cost of the development work at this primary school is about ZD 20 million.
