Protection of the Environment in Argentina
In April 2004, Nestlé Argentina adhered, along with 230 other Argentinean companies, to the fulfillment of the 10 Basic Principles set forth in the Global Compact. In addition, it was part of the first edition of the book entitled Guía del Pacto Global – Comunicación sobre el Progreso (Guidelines for the Global Compact – Communication on the Progress), carried out and produced by the Oficina del Pacto Global en Argentina (Global Compact Office in Argentina). Our presentation entitled Prácticas que reducen el impacto ambiental (Practices that reduce the environmental impact) describes the actions that have been put into practice in the Company in order to meet the principles related to the natural environment. This presentation describes the activities related to sewage, water consumption, energy consumption, waste products and gas emissions.
