Nestlé together with with Sofofa (Industry Association of Chile), Ministry of Education and “Había Una Vez” Foundation are leading the project “Bilbiotecas Escolares CRA”(special libraries for schools). 

The programme aims to promote reading habits on children, by convoquing the industrial sector to donate a library to Chilean public schools that do not have one.

Nestlé gave 8 complete libraries, with a book collection certified by the Ministry of Educaion,  in Antofagasta, Macul, Maipú, Graneros, San Fernando, Los Ángeles, Osorno and Llanquihue.  

Chile has a high library deficit in public school throughout the country.
