1. Organic Orchards - The art of cultivating health

Most of the products that are cultivated in the country possess high levels of contamination for the indiscriminate use of agrochemicals, which has led to the deterioration of the nutritional quality of food. For this reason, the organic orchards constitute a powerful tool to change this reality and to promote a sustainale development. The main objective is to encourage the growth of sensitive children towards environmental conservation, water care and its correct use.

2. Intervention places

- Ganas Foundation
  The main goal of the Ganas Foundation is rehabilitation and reintegration of children that live inside jail. Its most important project is the "Children's Home Mother of Mercy". Nutrir contributed with the equipment and maintenance of the centre, and the implementation of the organic orchard. The organic orchard generated an integral teaching process with children, carruing out a combined work that offers better conditions of their psycho-emotional recovery. The sad lives that these children have had are made happier by their orchard, by the plants, by the water and by the admiration towards the magical nature process. The organic orchard of the Integral Develpment Centre and Promotion Happy Face, located in Cayambe, is being processed for its execution.

- Quito  Botanical Garden - Healthy Schools of the Metropolitan District of Quito
   Nutrir program signed a cooperation agreement between Metropolitan District of Quito and the Quito Botanical Garden with the aim of sponsoring the participation of 7'700 children of public school, in the program "Adventure at the Botanic Garden" and 869 children have participated in the "Water Kit". Through this educational program it is pedagogically taught the vast wealth that has our country, its conservation and the care for water.
