Within the framework of education for the community, Nestlé takes an active part in the program named “Feeding and Nutrition Education for the People” together with the Peruvian Association of Nutritionists, through lectures and debates which are open to the public on several topics of nutrition, with the participation of renowned professionals who provide advice on how to lead a healthy life.
The enormous success of these interesting lectures on nutrition was proven by the tremendous attendance of professionals in the field of nutrition, students and general public, interested in learning more about the importance of nutrition and balanced eating.
Subjects such as “Child overweight and obesity”, “Back to school with nutritious, economical lunch bags”, “Preparing nutritious, healthy meals”, “Teaching good nutritional habits in kids”, “Nourishment for Elderly People”, “Diabetes”, etc. were treated. Lectures were also given at schools, the city hall and entity levels, making some strategic alliances with these institutions, as for instance with Interbank, Merk Laboratory and “Cosas” Magazine.
