Crecer Bien is a Nutritional Education Project through the school that develops nutritional and healthy habits.
During its first pilot phase, it takes place in San Juan de Lurigancho, the biggest district of Peru. The project confronts infant malnutrition problem that in this area reaches the 23%.
Thinking on this, the Project will benefit 24 public schools, 5,000 students between 3 and 8 years old, 25,000 people (counting an average of 5 people per family) and 200 teachers and their families.
Our Goal is to expand this Programme nationwide.
Crecer Bien is a unique Programme that through experiences practices and through games will improve the knowledge on good eating and healthy habits. But more than that, it results an innovative educational tool because the Programme involves actively the family as an extension of the knowledge that starts in the school classroom and complements at home.
