After identifying school in Baraider Chala, Sreepur, Gazipur, Nestlé Bangladesh Limited invested to the drilling of deep bore wells and constructed water tanks that store clean water, allowing the school children regular access to clean drinking water. The projects also include an education component – water education programs to teach students about the importance of clean water, the need for water conservation and the clean water, hygiene, health and wellness.
The boy’s scout of Dhanai Bepari High School with school band received the chief guest, Syed saiful Islam, Finance Director.
Tree is directly involved with water and trees help not only provide oxygen but also maintain reasonable rainfall and ecological balance. Before inaugurating the water tank, seven Neem trees were also planted in the school premises.
Syed saiful islam , Finance Director of Nestlé Bangladesh limited who was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the clean drinking water at Alhaj Dhanai Bepari Memorial High School High School on Saturday the 24th November 2007. He spoke on the occasion and stressed on the association of Nestlé with hygiene, Health and Wellness. He emphasized to keep clean and maintain the water tank regularly.
Mirza Golam Hosssain, Senior Manager Business Intelligence and General Affairs also spoke on the event. He emphasized that the clean drinking water facility will help to keep safe the beneficiaries from water borne diseases like diarrhea, typhoid, Jaundice, Polio and dental diseases. The school Managing Committee, teachers, students and local elites appreciated the initiative of clean drinking water project taken by Nestlé Bangladesh Limited.
