Since 2002, the Milo Youth Cup, a nationwide football championship for under-13 year olds, has become an annual sports event, helping to develop the grassroots development of this sport by offering young players a venue for training and competition. This is organized in cooperation with the Cambodia Football Federation and the Ministry of Education. In 2005 there will be a total participation of 24 teams nationwide.
