Floods are annual events in some parts of the country, including Jakarta. In 2002, Jakarta was nearly paralysed by the biggest flood in a number of years. Thousands of people were temporarily displaced. Nestlé immediately provided help in the form of three thousand cartons of Nestlé products to ease the sufferings of those affected by the flooding.

In 2004, through The Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), Nestlé Indonesia provided help in the form of Nestlé products to the earthquake victims in eastern part of Indonesia (Alor Island and Nabire, Papua).
