Museum of chocolate

The history of chocolate is directly related to the history of Nestlé. And the history of Nestlé in Bulgaria is strongly connected to the past, present and future of the Bulgarian capital. Therefore the opening of the chocolate museum, which made Sofia the only city on the Balkans with such an exhibition, was a way for Nestle Bulgaria to thank the city for making it possible for the company to grow and develop here in Bulgaria.
The exposition showed how the old Sofia factory “Malchika” grew and for less than 10 years turned into the biggest exporting center of the company in Eastern Europe. Today the family of Nestle Bulgaria consists of more than 1000 Bulgarians, who know the secrets of producing chocolate and love doing it.
Special invitations were sent to all schools in Sofia to attend this exhibition. And of course every visitor of the museum received a bar of our Nestlé chocolate.
This museum was a way for us to thank the city of Sofia. A way to appreciate its unique European spirit and atmosphere. Symbolically Nestlé presented the city of Sofia with its first ever Museum of chocolate.

Movies and theater performances

Nestle Bulgaria supports projects of young Bulgarian performers building long-term relationships with them thus helping the development of Bulgarian culture. With its chocolate brand NESTLÉ Classic a song Chocolate was sponsored in 2003. NESCAFÉ brand sponsored the famous Mexican movie “As your mother did” and the song attached to it as well. And now supports a theater performance “Shear madness” together with a song that is titled “Show me”, performed by famous young singer. The comedy has been on stage more than 40 000 times in the world and is included in the Guinness book as the longest played on stage in America. And this is going to be the first interactive play on stage in Bulgaria.
