The “Wellness Programme” was launched in February 2005 to the 12000 employees working in Nestlé France. This programme is based on our EPODE partnership and Nestlé France represents “the 11th EPODE city". The different tools available include :
- our internal magazine
- a specific website with information concerning well balanced diet and physical activity + 2 “checks up”: the first one to evaluate daily diet and receive nutritional advice; the second to evaluate the level of physical activity
- Posters and brochures announce new information on the website
Nutrition education for employees
Since 1998, we have developed:
- a nutrition basic training to improve awareness in the nutrition field. This training is mandatory for marketing and technical people
- Specific nutrition training in each operational unit, focused on the business
Food/canteen menus
Since 1995 in our canteen, we offer “les plaisirs de l’équilibre”, balanced meals and menus focusing on healthy options.
Talks and presentations: “les Rendez Vous Nutrition du Moulin”
Launched in October 2005 : each month a small group meets in a “table ronde” to share questions and information about a nutrition topic; for example: “a balanced diet for my family” or “your opinion about different slimming diets”.
These “tables rondes” are led by our company doctor and our nutritionist consultant
Health check up
By law, once every 2 years, each employee must have a check up with the company Doctor. We test cholesterol (HDL and LDL), glycemia, blood pressure and weight.
Sport and fitness facilities
A well equipped fitness centre is available on-site and includes physical activity classes. Sponsorship of sports clubs: tennis, sailing, jogging.
