The F.I.P. aims to improve the nutritional balance of the least privileged populations who resort to food aid. It provides charity associations with teaching tools and awareness campaigns for good eating habits.
Since its creation in 2003, Nestlé France has supported The Food and Insertion Programme (F.I.P.), initiated by the authorities (Ministry for Employment, Secretary of State for Solidarity, General Directorate for Social Action, etc.) and run by the National Nutrition and Health Programme (PNNS), by signing its guide "Food and Insertion" and by being an active member of its Steering Committee.
The 2008 issue focuses on two tools:
· A calendar intended to send a message about balanced diet and notions of household economy. Five messages are exposed:
o sit down at the table to eat
o eat a balanced diet to maintain your health
o drink water
o manage a balanced diet on a small budget
o pay attention to hygiene
· Four posters developed on the subjects: "Eat together", "Fruit and vegetables every day", "Get moving", and "Drink water".
In total, nearly 360,000 calendars and 48,000 posters have been made available to charity associations everywhere in France. The aim is to contribute to reducing deficiencies and pathologies linked to unbalanced diets in the most underprivileged people or those in the greatest financial difficulty.
