Nestlé UK and Ireland have introduced the following initiatives into their Employee Wellness Programme.
Employee Lifestyle Risk Assessment program
Implemented in 2004, this new Internet based program is designed to highlight lifestyle related risk factors and provide simple advice to help you reduce them. The employee and family members can access this program from any PC linked to the Internet.
Project Choice
Project Choice aims to improve the quality of nutrition and the awarenes of healthy eating within the catering service of NUK&I. Employees will be able to choose healthier options, be informed about healthier lifestyles and generally believe in the wellness vision and the long term benefits.
Nutrition education for employees
Market nutritionists have trained marketing teams, sales teams and consumer services in nutrition

Provided through labelling food in the canteen (Project Choice), Health Awareness Weeks and Nestle Internet site Well being section
• Food/canteen meals/menus
• Talks and/or presentations on Allergy, Arthritis and Diabetes. Learning lunches are also organised.
Physical activity areas
• Sports/Fitness facilities at Croydon, York, Fawdon + some sites offering local facility memberships
• Weight Watchers at Work programme run during lunchtimes in Croydon and York
