The Company, like so many Nestlé organisations, works closely with universities. Opportunities are provided for graduates to gain experience working for Nestlé for different periods of time (trainees).
Our Factory in Avanca (our most important factory, situated in the North of Portugal) joined in several local initiatives, such as cultural and educational events.

The visit of students to our Factory is another important part of our contribution to environmental education. During the visit the students learn the importance of the clean drinking water supply project supported by our Company and the efforts that the Company does to reduce water consumption, packaging materials and energy, which benefit Nestlé’s operations as well as the local community.
