Paint and Smile Foundation

Children at the Paint and Smile Foundation

Nestlé Portugal is particularly involved with helping children in need. The company gives funds to three carefully chosen organisations providing care for children who have social difficulties or who suffer from a physical or mental handicap.
In 2004 Nestlé sponsored an initiative from the Paint a Smile Foundation to decorate two paediatric areas (general paediatrics and under two years paediatrics) in D. Estefânia Hospital in Lisboa. The aim of the project is to de-dramatise the hospital environment for children by enriching it with friendly and colourful paintings.
