In order to stimulate Portuguese scientific investigation on Communitarian Nutrition, reflecting Nestlé’s commitment to scientific research and investigation, Nestlé welcomed Sociedade Portuguesa de Ciências da Nutrição e Alimentação – SPCNA, the most important scientific nutrition society in Portugal, initiative in 2001.

Since then for four times we have granted a 10.000 € award to the best scientific work presented. The last edition took place this year and the award ceremony is being prepared.

We estimate than more than 3.000 people in Universities and health facilities have been directly impacted in 2008, throughout the broad distribution of a poster promoting the Award.
