Consumer nutrition education is a priority based on the idea that education is a key to raise the awareness about the importance of a healthy diet and physical activity among students, teachers and parents.
With this objective, Nestlé has developed the Nutritional Program at ¡A comer bien!, in collaboration with:
· Fundación Española de la Nutrición (Spanish Nutrition Foundation), as the coordinator of pedagogic contents of the program.
· Cátedra Ferran Adrià de Cultura Gastronómica y Ciencias de la Alimentación de la Universidad Camilo José Cela
It is a complete education programme around nutrition addressed to 10 years old students, parents and teachers. The programme includes free materials for the students and teachers advising.
Until now, 2 editions have been implemented, the 1st one during the scholar course 2006-2007 and the 2nd one during the 2007-2008 scholar course. The number of the students was 7000 in the 1st edition and 10500 in the 2nd.
