For the second year in a row, Nestlé Sweden has awarded one of the students at the Communication Institute at Lund University, Campus. The Scholarship was founded on the values a company needs to be able to act with responsibility and sustainability.
Instead of CSR - Corporate Social Responsibility, Nestlé has chosen to call it a CSV-award. By that we mean Creating Shared Value for the whole value chain, from farmer,
to the plant, and finally to the consumer who will trust in us and our products. Nestlé Corporate Communication in Sweden has presented the task to the Communication students at Lund University and after that acted mentor and supervisor for those students who has chosen to work with CSR-related questions. Our commission to the students at Campus was to illustrate "How to communicate the responsible company"
The Nestlé CSV-award for 2008, was given to Karin Bengtsdotter for her analytic ability, creativity and dedicated commitment, in her task concerning consumer perception and validation of CSV. Her master's degree essay was validated and chosen by the Lund University. Karin's work was built on an external survey made from Nestlé's internet. The result of her work has lead to many thoughtful action plans for further work with communication and CSV-related questions.
Karin received, from the hands of Magnus Nordin (CEO Nestlé Sweden), a scholarship of 15'000 SEK together with a symbol of care, consideration and responsibility - an egg.
