Nestlé was a founding member and major annual contributor to Swisscontact, a group of Senior Expert that offers assistance to entrepreneurs of small and medium sized companies in developing countries around the world. These entrepreneurs are supported in the setting up and further development of their business. Swissontact Senior Experts provide their expertise in approximately 150 assignments every year on a voluntary basis in countries such as Indonesia, Uganda, Peru, or Romania. Swisscontact currently counts over 500 Swiss retired professionals, including skilled workmen, hotel managers or forestry experts, for example. They all readily offer their vast and comprehensive knowledge and practical experience without pay.
