Aiming to contribute to children's cultural and personal development and also help transmit Turkey’s cultural heritage and civilization to young generations, Nestlé Turkey sponsored numerous activities of Creative Children’s Association’s in 2003 and 2004.
The main objective of the Creative Children’s Association is to enhance children’s creativity, initiate an interest in art and expand their knowledge of culture and civilization.
Nestlé Turkey supported 4 exhibitions in 2003 namely “Colors of İstanbul” in Yıldız Palace (İstanbul), “Dream Machines” in Rahmi M. Koç Museum (İstanbul) , “Creative Children of The Republic” in Anatolian Civilizations Museum (Ankara) and lastly “Palaces and Tales” in NHK Park Studio Gallery (Japan) with the invitation of Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism in the framework of Turkey Year Activities.
For each exhibition, on average, three hundred children from the 30 participating schools have worked for a year to prepare art pieces including paintings, sculptures, collages as well as drama, chorus and dance performances.
In 2004, Nestle again supported a major organization of the Association: “Hagia Sofia, A Gift to Human Kind”. This was a 5 scene musical play, telling the history of the world famous Hagia Sophia (initially a church and than a mosque) Museum and performed by 350 children.
