Clean-Up Campaign

The Cabuyao and Cagayan de Oro Factories participate actively in their respective communities' efforts to rid the rivers of weeds, water lilies, and garbage. The Cabuyao Factory supports the local government's Clean-Up Campaign for the Tiway-Tiway River that runs along Barangays Niugan and Sala. The Cagayan de Oro Factory supports the local government in its awareness campaign to help preserve, protect, and beautify the Umalag River through yearly river clean-up. The clean-up campaigns are participated in by riverbank residents, Nestlé employees and business partners.

Furthermore, volunteer employees of the Lipa Factory, together with the local Red Cross and barangay officials and residents, conduct the Mt. Makulot Clean-Up Drive every year. The volunteers climb Mt. Makulot during peak season to gather trash left by trekkers along the mountain path.

To support Nestlé's various clean-up drives, the factories regularly conduct workshops on environmental protection and preservation, domestic sanitation/hygiene, zero-waste management, fire-prevention, and safety and security for employees' spouses, barangay officials and community residents. The factories donate trash cans to the barangays where they operate, to encourage proper waste management.
