Health and Wellness programmes in Thailand

Nutrition Education for Waistline Control

The purpose of this project is to educate society at large on the benefits of a balanced diet & lifestyle and to support the Ministry of Public Health in its campaign for waistline control, known as the No Big Belly Campaign.

The project was expected to reach 100,000 people and was a one-time event.  It was organised in the form of a wellness event from 4-10 September 2008 at a department store, "The Mall Bangkapi", with various activities relating to "Balanced Diet & Lifestyle".

Wellness booths were installed to communicate four key messages:  Eat Variety / Suitable Portion / Work Out Energy / Nutrition Labeling.  In addition, health check zones - with professional support from a recognised hospital - were also available to visitors, as well as an interactive game zone and educational activities on stage.
