“Premio Henri Nestlé” is an award that aims to distinguish projects that have had a positive impact on nutrition, health and wellness research. Organised in collaboration with the Chilean Society of Nutrition, this award is well positioned among Chilean scientists and academia, for it is among the very few awards available in Chile in this field and has acted as an impulse for continuing investigation.
In 2005, Dr. Danitza Ivanovic was prized with a research about student performance and nutrition. In 2006, Dr. Rubén Soto-Moyano and his team won with a research about prenatal malnutrition. In 2007, Dr. Myriam Suazo and his team won the award with a research about copper supplementation. In 2008, Dr. Elard Koch and his team won with a paper about pregnancy and obesity in Chile.
Nestlé sees this award as an extraordinary opportunity to strengthen relationships with the Chilean scientific community and to share its strong scientific backround and network.
Dr. Myriam Suazo, 2007 prize winner, stated, “This prize recognises all our effort. It shows a real corporate conscience and commitment with the society”.
