Hospitals and medical institutions in Ukraine still survive on state donations, and remain free of charge for patients. However, these donations do not satisfy even the basic needs of patients.

Nestlé Ukraine makes quarterly donations for Kyiv Children State Hospital. Furthermore, upon request, important life devices for children such as artificial breathing devices for the Children Oncology Center and medicines for the infants of the Children's Department of the Kyiv District Oncology Clinic were provided in 2008.
In addition, Nestlé sponsors the Ukraine-3000 Fund in accordance with the UN Global agreement(http://www.ukraine3000.org.ua). The Fund unites the largest companies and institutions in Ukraine. The Fund’s priorities are institutional development of charity and philanthropy and support in solving the problem of homeless children.
Sponsorship of confectionery and culinary products for different funds and orphanages were also offered.
The programme is also sponsored by the Red Cross in Ukraine.
