The Yard and Garden Livelihood Project opens up livelihood opportunities through cutflower production and organic vegetable farming to the unemployed housewives of the barangay, where Nestlé Lipa Factory is located. Under the partnership, Nestlé provides financial assistance and technical support while the community contributes the manpower required.

Financial support is provided through the distribution of seedlings, the purchase of needed equipment, fertilisers, and the free use of the factory site for orchid and vegetable growing. Water for gardening comes from the factory's Waste Water Treatment plant while the fertilisers are gathered from its composting facility. Technical support is given through the conduct of seminars and workshops on cutflowers and maintenance of the project.

Yard and Garden supplies and maintains the factory’s ornamental plants that adorn the offices and the Learning Centre. Vegetable produce is sold to the employee cafeteria.
