As a corporate citizen of the country, Nestlé Bangladesh Ltd. is committed to creating awareness among the community about water issues and has initiated the construction of water tanks in a number of schools. The clean drinking water facility will help to keep safe the beneficiaries from water borne diseases like diarrhoea, typhoid, jaundice, polio and dental diseases.

The project also includes a water education component to teach students about the importance of clean water, the need for water conservation and the link between clean water, hygiene, health and wellness.

Because trees are directly involved in maintaining reasonable rainfall and ecological balance, NEEM trees were planted in the school premises before the opening of the water tanks.
