Optimised Water Consumption in Coffee Production 




 

Nestlé Thailand is committed to the sustainable use of water resources.  Activities are implemented to reduce, by its reuse, 80% of the water consumption in the process of de-hulling of the seasonal crop for coffee cherries at the end of the production process.  At that point, outlet water is stored in a reservoir pond before being totally reused for the irrigation of coffee fields.  As a result, it is a virtually 100% water recycling process for coffee irrigation.
